Trauma is not what happened to you, but rather what happened inside of you as a result of what happened to you. Dr Gabor Mate
Death is not the worst thing that can happen in life. The worst thing is what dies inside of us as we go through life. Albert Einstein
Trauma release and liberation:
"Trauma" (Greek "wound") is not just about "acute events" (eg. natural disasters, accidents, assaults, death, etc.) resulting in the well known PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorders). The least understood yet most widespread form of trauma is that caused by a prolonged chronic stress, at any stage of life. Not all traumas necessarily give rise to post-traumatic reactions, but post-traumatic symptoms are rooted in trauma. Our problem is that we often do not recognise their existence and keep going with unsolved patterns.
Chronic stress induced trauma, although less visible, is no less impactful, and can result in the following symptoms:
- Blockages, phobias
- Exhaustion, chronic fatigue, loss of vitality
- Acute stress, somatisations
- Being shut from one's emotions
- Feeling of impasse or powerlessness in the face of life
- Repetition of painful relationship patterns
- Affective co-dependance
- Addictive behaviours (workoholism, substances, internet, compulsive acts, etc.)
- emotional overload
- etc.
I use different techniques according to your needs to help you deal with trauma-related persistent effects:
- Brainspotting (www.brainspotting-swiss.ch)
- NLP / Ericksonian Hypnosis
- Regressive Hypnosis (HSR)
- Voice dialogue (Jungian approach to meet the energy of selves)
